Kristen is currently a 5th year senior studying the Mechanical Option within the Architectural Engineering program at The Pennsylvania State University. Upon completion of general education requirements during the summer of 2017, she will earn her Master and Bachelor of Architectural Engineering (MAE/BAE) degrees and will be considered an Engineer in Training (EIT). She will be pursuing her PE License in the years following her graduation. 

 

Kristen has had four internships over the past four years. She has worked within the Facilities Engineering group at Global Tungsten & Powders for two summers, overseeing site construction projects. During the summer following her 3rd year, Kristen worked as a Mechanical Engineering intern for Barton Associates. There she gained a variety of experiences in HVAC design, construction administration, and commissioning. Most recently, Kristen has worked for AECOM in Arlington, VA as a Mechanical Engineering intern where she gained valuable Revit MEP and plumbing design experience. 

 

 During her time at Penn State, Kristen has been extensively involved in extracurricular activities. Kristen served as the President of the Vitruvius Chapter of Alpha Rho Chi for the 2015 calendar year. She also served as the THON Chairperson for 3 years and danced in THON 2016. Kristen currently serves as the Philanthropy Chair and Advisor to her chapter.
